About the Instructor

Isabelle has been a professional artist and designer for over 25 years. She started her career in the garment center working as a Fashion Illustrator and then a Fashion Designer. Switching modes after starting a family, she began a craft design business and returned to school receiving a degree in Advertising Art and Design. in addition to The Tiny Artist studio Isabelle works as a Decorating Consultant and has also devoted twenty years of service, as fine arts director, for one of Long Islands finest youth council programs.

I began giving private art lessons twenty years ago and devote several evenings a week to working with my young students. The result is amazing. I am very proud of all my young friends.
A good base is important, and from there one can build their own style. I usually start out with pencil and charcoal and then move on to acrylic painting. The studio atmosphere is serious yet fun.
A high emphasis is put on quality and technique, sometimes using unusual tools and elements to achieve the finial result. I have a great deal of patience and let each child work at their own pace. Art also develops eye hand coordination and a confidence to pursue and succeed in other areas of interest.
Each year The Tiny Artist holds an exhibit at one of the local libraries so that the children can display their work. This is their time to shine and there is nothing more rewarding than seeing the glow on your child's face.
Not every one of my students will pursue a career in the art field; however my aim is to teach them that if they work hard and follow their dreams they will achieve their goals.

Just wanted to let you know how wonderful things are going for my son at The Tiny Artist. He is really enjoying himself! He loves coming to class and working on his projects!! I also want to mention the fun he has making The Tiny Artist Characters. And I especially love the homemade chocolates that you make with the kids!!! My son also enjoys bringing his friends and cousins to the different classes. The February art show at the library was truly a fun and inspirational day. My son had a great time as well as his grandparents! You have really gone out of your way to make the kids and parents comfortable and it shows!! Thank you!!

My girls have been takirg classes at the Tiny Artist for about 5 years now. They love learning different techniques and get so many compliments on their work! They even have several requests for commissioned paintings!"

It continues to amaze me to see how my daughter's artistic ability has grown over the years at The Tiny Artist. Bella has a style of teaching, demonstration and supporting each child to their fullest potential. The Tiny Artist truly is tiny in size but has a BIG heart. I honestly admire her talents as an artist and a teacher"
